Learn about historical local architecture at Nuuk Cathedral, which seems to have incorporated elements from each period. Initially built in 1849, the church began as a simple wood and soapstone Lutheran structure. During subsequent decades, it was paneled with red and white wood, and a wooden tower was added in the 1920s. Attend mass or simply walk around and enjoy the quiet, peaceful atmosphere.
