Monument to Those Who Died For Freedom symbolizes the eternal fight of good versus evil, but in more local terms it commemorates the local people's fight for a better government. The 7 m (23 ft) high monument features two massive marble blocks and a sculptural group of three men pushing a black rock away from a white one. The monument is dedicated to the people who were killed and injured by the police in 2002 and 2010 demonstrations.
