Muzeum Zamkowe w Malborku, Malbork

One of the largest castles in the world by surface area, Muzeum Zamkowe w Malborku was once home to an order of Teutonic Knights and today ranks as a World Heritage Site and national historical monument. After being nearly demolished in a battle during World War II, the castle has been completely restored. Besides the large number of knights that used the castle as a home base, Prussian kings from the 15th century also resided here until the 18th century. Wear walking shoes to tour the grounds comfortably. Consider combining your visit with a tour of the town, which offers historical sites from the same period. • What a great castle! Of course in WW2 pretty ruined but still not so bad that you have the idea of walking around in the Efteling. A very early castle, long the master seat of the German order. Very large with three complete defensive rings. For its time ultra modern heating techniques in a number of important spaces. Beautiful architecture in those rooms with very slender, elegant ceilings; Not very German! Beautiful medieval carvings in the small but fine museum. We were with a group and had an excellent guide! Highly recommended. So far the most beautiful that we saw.

  • From Warsaw to Gdansk it is worth to go a bit from the route and visit Malbork Castle. The castle makes a huge impression with its own size. The expositions are interesting and allow to move to the times when the castle inhabited the Komturowie. During the tour you can use the services of the guide, or use the audio guide, which also writes out perfectly and allows you to explore at your pace. The castle awaits us a lot of attractions and interesting facts. We can use the restaurant, which does not belong to the cheapest, but serves interesting and tasty dishes. The overall impression of the stay I have very positive and I recommend visiting Malbork.

  • Interesting exhibits, it is a one package tour with audio guide with the castle. A very good deal. The exhibits on armory is very interesting though some of them are replica.
  • Magnificent castle! You should take the audio guide from the ticket office. It's very helpful and charge free.
