The capital and largest city of Oman, the coastal city of Muscat boasts numerous historical sites and pristine modern developments.
On the 15th (Sat), contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, then kick back and relax at Qurum Beach, then enjoy the sand and surf at Pebble Beach, and finally don't miss a visit to Mirani Fort.

If you are flying in from Iceland, the closest major aiport is Muscat International Airport. In December, plan for daily highs up to 30°C, and evening lows to 21°C. On the 16th (Sun), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
