Budapest— 2 nights
Pearl of the Danube
You might consider the city of Budapest, divided by the Danube River into two distinctive cities--Buda and Pest--to be essentially one large World Heritage Site.Spend the 26th (Tue) immersed in therapeutic waters at a local thermal spa. There's lots more to do: get a sense of history and politics at Parliament, steep yourself in history at Fisherman's Bastion, snap pictures at Szechenyi Chain Bridge, and take in the spiritual surroundings of St. Stephen's Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika).

If you are flying in from Iceland, the closest major airport is Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport. In June in Budapest, expect temperatures between 30°C during the day and 15°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 26th (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
