You can drive from New York City to Mystic in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can take a train; or fly. Traveling from New York City in September, things will get little chillier in Mystic: highs are around 28°C and lows about 17°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Mon) so you can drive to Providence.

Providence has undergone a major upgrade in recent years, transforming from a rough-around-the-edges industrial city into an epicenter of culture.

You can drive from Mystic to Providence in an hour. Another option is to take a train. In September, plan for daily highs up to 29°C, and evening lows to 16°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 8th (Wed) so you can travel back home.
