The small, uninhabited island of Es Vedra is a place of legends—including UFO sightings—and great beauty. The rocky island lies around 2.5 km (1.5 mi) off the coast of Cala d’Hort. Several companies run boat trips that enable you to get closer to Es Vedra. From the boat you can watch the endangered Eleanora’s Falcons swooping in the sky and see the island’s sub-species of wild goat clamoring up its steep rocks. Some boat trips also include swimming stops and snorkeling. Or, relax on the beach Cala d’Hort at and enjoy excellent views of the island.
