The coastal city of Stavanger ranks among Norway's top culinary destinations, its fine restaurants and food fairs an increasingly popular attraction with impassioned foodies from around the globe.
Attractions like Lysefjord and Gloppedalsura Rock Fall make great kid-friendly stops. Get out of town with these interesting Stavanger side-trips: Orre Beach (in Orre) and Borestranden Beach (in Kleppe). There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Sande Beach, get outside with MS Rapp, tour the pleasant surroundings at Sjobadet Myklebust, and make a trip to Paseo por la calle.
