Beirut — 3 nights

Sitting on the Mediterranean coast, Beirut, the country's capital and largest city, has plenty of appeal itself, as well as offering a convenient base for exploring the country's other sights and cities.
Get out of town with these interesting Beirut side-trips: Baalbeck (Hajar al-Hibla & Temples of Baalbek) and Our Lady of Lebanon (in Harissa). There's still lots to do: shop like a local with Beirut Souks, make a trip to Corniche Beirut, take a stroll through Hamra Street, and take an in-depth tour of National Museum of Beirut.

To find reviews, more things to do, where to stay, and more tourist information, use the Beirut road trip planner.

If you are flying in from Jordan, the closest major aiport is Beirut Rafic Hariri International Airport. February in Beirut sees daily highs of 23°C and lows of 13°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 4th (Mon) to allow time for travel back home.
