Dublin — 3 nights

A history spanning over a thousand years, vibrant nightlife, and a mix of Georgian and modern architecture make Dublin a popular European tourist destination.
Get some historical perspective at Guinness Storehouse and Kilmainham Gaol Museum. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Portmarnock Beach and Seapoint Beach. Change things up with a short trip to Wicklow Mountains National Park in Glendalough Village (about 1h 15 min away). Next up on the itinerary: wander the streets of Grafton Street, grab your bike and head to Clontarf Promenade, see the interesting displays at Dublin Writers Museum, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Saint Patrick's Cathedral.

If you are flying in from Iceland, the closest major aiport is Dublin Airport. In August, daily temperatures in Dublin can reach 22°C, while at night they dip to 12°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 19th (Sun) so you can travel back home.
