Ushuaia — 6 nights

Often called the "End of the World" because of its position on the southernmost tip of South America, the expanding city of Ushuaia serves as both a busy commercial port and attractive tourist hub.
Visit Museo Maritimo & del Presidio de Ushuaia and Iglesia de la Merced for their historical value. Do some cultural sightseeing at Museo del Fin del Mundo and Estancia Harberton. Step out of Ushuaia to go to Tolhuin and see Cerro Jeujepen, which is approximately 1h 25 min away. Spend the 5th (Sun) exploring nature at Tierra del Fuego National Park. Next up on the itinerary: get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, enjoy the sand and surf at Playa Larga, explore the activities along Canal Beagle, and stroll through Cerro Alarken Nature Reserve.

For where to stay, other places to visit, and more tourist information, read our Ushuaia trip itinerary builder.

Expect a daytime high around 15°C in January, and nighttime lows around 7°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel back home.
