Stockholm — 7 nights

One of Europe's most culturally diverse cities, Stockholm extends over 14 islands, united by a series of tunnels and bridges.
Step off the beaten path and head to Uppsala Domkyrka and Monteliusvagen. Royal Armory and Museum Gustavianum will appeal to museum buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Stockholm: Vasteras (Kyrkbacken, Vallby Open Air Museum, &more), Sandhamn (in Varmdo) and Uppsala (Botanical Gardens, Godsmagasinet, &more). There's lots more to do: brush up on your military savvy at Army Museum, get a new perspective on nature at Swedish Museum of Natural History, take an in-depth tour of Hallwyl Museum (Hallwylska Museet), and appreciate the extensive heritage of Strandvagen.

To find more things to do, other places to visit, reviews, and other tourist information, you can read our Stockholm online route builder.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major aiports are Stockholm-Arlanda Airport, Stockholm-Bromma Airport, Stockholm Västerås Airport and Stockholm Skavsta Airport. In May, daytime highs in Stockholm are 60°F, while nighttime lows are 42°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 22nd (Tue) early enough to travel back home.
